With a sneer, Elfurion lowered his gun and sat down on his sofa chair. He would normally recline it back to put on local news stations so he could drown in his loneliness each night after work, but this was not a normal night.
"So who had the brilliant idea to attack the other person?" he asked casually twiddling the gun in his left hand, gazing at the two. "I want a straight answer, so they can take the first shot. You know what happens to me when I get too much adrenaline, Kamila. I just haven't had enough yet. I am giving you both a fair chance, in my books. You fought in my own house, and nearly made me resort to shooting. Unfortunately, I still have bullets."
Elfurion kept the door open, the rush of the evening air chilled even Elfurion to the bone.
"If you don't answer me, I'll just shoot you both. I have no care who's blood I'll spill tonight- and do not mock me, for I am not thinking straight. I blame your gun shot Kamila, and the fight you just had for all that. So, the perpetrators deserve their justice."
Elfurion lifted his gun up to aim at the two. "I suggest that the two of you leave my house, and let the one who did not start the fight to walk back in, while I give the other 50 seconds to run before I shoot her down. Get it? This is my house, my rules, and if you both won't follow them- then you deserve the bullets."
He looked at his gun, then back at the girls. One stared back, eyes as cold as ice. The other, his mystery girl he yet to have unfolded, stared back and forth between the two sniveling. Elfurion never looked at her in the correct lights, but he was beginning to notice a certain beauty to her. He hoped to himself his young mystery girl was not also a trouble maker.

Kiara’s eyes widened once more. This guy had saved her, then was now willing to throw it away, and all in a matter of seconds. But she didn’t question his threat, and staring at the man, she quickly got up and walked quickly for the door, not taking her eyes off him for fear of something happening.
Kamila moved with her, and as the two got out of the apartment, she banged her head against the wall. “No way in HELL, am I going back in there! He‘ll probably kill me!” She let the coldness of the wall cool her forehead. She didn’t feel safe with Kamila either, but the two of them kept each other…well, not killing her.
“Would he really shoot us?” She asked, fear in her eyes, knowing she’d never be able to escape in 50 seconds. “You think you can beat 50 seconds?” She asked yet another question, not knowing what to do because she’d never been in a situation like this before.
“What’s wrong with him? Do you know?” But something told her not even Kamila knew the full story, which left Kiara wanting to know even more about this strange guy.

"I have an idea. Follow me." Kamila walked back inside the room, with Kiara right nexto her. Efrulion stared angrily and started.
"Oh no, no, no." Kamila said, almost laughing. "You see...We both started it. She provoked me by having a knife. I provoked her by asking her what she saw in the hallway. But ALSO, we both tried to stop it. I agreed to put my gun down, and she agreed to stop us from shooting each other also. So we both get to stay for trying to stop the fight. YOU, however, Efrulion, still wanted to shoot us after it happened, so you're the only one who's starting a fight here. You have 50 seconds." Kamila positioned her gun once more, with a strange smile.

Elfurion shook his head, lifting the gun up. "Be that as it may."
And with a quick pull on the trigger, a bullet flew straight into the heart of Kamila, bursting through her back and leaving a spray of her blood across his wall.
"I may have had 50 seconds," Elfurion started as he walked towards the staggering Kamila. "But, you only have about 10 before your blood stops hitting vital places."
He lifted up her gun and pointed it at his chest, "So go ahead! SHOOT ME!" he roared, throwing her arm off his chest and pushing her out the door again. He lifted his arms up and awaited death's warm arms- waiting for the bullet to blow into his skull, neck, or chest. Kamila was a good aim, so he expected a quick death.

"Dumbass." Said Kamila calmly, standing back up and wiping the "blood" off of her. "What kind of girl would I be to not have a fake blood pack? I told you, I don't shoot people who don't do something to me first. I will not shoot you. Try to appreciate life for once; you only have one of 'em, then your chance is gone. Come on, Kiara."
Kiara looked reluctantly at Kamila before following her. "I'll give you a home, okay? Pero you gotta know how to take care of yourself in this barrio despues de que se fueron las luces. It's dangerous here...."

(Am I feeling a little rival between maybe MORE than the characters? Awex? Fwanny? K)
Kiara’s heart nearly stopped hearing the shot, and seeing it hit Kamila, and she awaited hers next. She closed her eyes and held her breath, but he didn’t shoot.
When she opened her eyes, she saw the man with his arms open, and Kamila staring at him.
She was going to be sick. What was going on, and was she in any danger or not!?
Kamila looked at her, telling her she’d provide a home for her as well, and Kiara was now more confused.
“I can…but why are you providing a home…I was just going to stay for a night and then be back on the street.” She looked at the ground knowing that what she had just said was no defense at all. And protect herself from what? If it was more people like Kamila she’d never survive.
“You know what, why don’t I just sleep in the hallway.” She looked at the two of them. They must be lonely…or wanting a decoy, or something that they’d use her for. But she didn’t feel like it was really for her wellbeing and safety, that was sure.
“AND CAN YOU PUT THE GUNS DOWN.” She started to scream, finally everything that happened was starting to set in. “Do you HAVE to SHOOT AT EVERYTHING?” She screamed at both of them, and started to move towards the window of his apartment, where she knew was a staircase and ladders.
“I saw nothing, you don’t need to kill me but OH MY GOD!” She through her knife on the ground. “And I won’t be back, don’t worry” She put her hands up, and shook them making sure they understood.
Shock was setting in. Never before had she ever seen anything like this before. The most she’d ever done was steal and escape, but she’d never actually USED the knife. She’d only threatened with it, and usually only a few punches to a NORMAL person, and they would have been down on the ground and she’d been away in a minute.
Kiara backed against the window, waiting for them to do something, hopefully move away from the door so she could move, and run her ass out of there.
(Come now, we all love each other deep inside, so let's get along...)

Elfurion's first instincts were to shoot at Kamila again, but he held his gun down. His eyes darted between the two; by now he just wanted both of them gone. All they were, were trouble in his eyes now. The only thing he wanted from the mystery girl was company for the night- and he ends up with a fake blood stain on the wall, a pissed off girl he never met before, and a girl who he wished was dead.
"Leave then. Go on," ushered the almost voiceless Elfurion. His pills were now settling in, he would no longer fear the sound of glass or a gunshot. Not until the morning. "I should have just slit your throat when I first met you, but excuse my gentlemen attributes for saving your life." the snarky and prideful Elfurion spit out. "Maybe some other sick bastard will do it for me, though." his eyes narrowed.
He moved to the door, gently pulling Kamila out of the way. "Here is your exit," he told her. "Don't worry about getting hurt. I just want you to get out of my house."
He turned over to Kamila this time, lending her a hand. His voice calmed, but he was still stern. "As for you," he started. He threw his gun to the opposite end of the room, vulnerable. "I would tell you to same. Appreciate your life, instead of seeking revenge for other's stupid decisions. I know that man you killed; he was a hitman for another higher man. You are not the harbinger of justice, Kamila, you are but a hot blooded killer looking for excuses to murder. The man may have killed whoever he did, but that gives you no excuse to forget your reason for being here. You say so yourself- you only have one life. With the hitman dead, his boss will come looking for you. Keep yourself safe, girl."
He looked over at the door and nodded. "Take the girl if you want, but make sure she knows that if she stays with you- then she is also in danger of being attacked just like you are. The boss is a nefarious man, who will stop at nothing to kill you- even if another bullet impacts Kiara in the process.
He turned away, moving towards his reclining sofa chair. "Please, now go. I just want to be left alone like I'm supposed to be."
(( Now, now, now. You know there is no feud between the two of us. Just some people get very involved with their characters. Lmao. ))

Staring blankly at the man, she continued to stand by the window. He was a jerk, at least right now. He’d gone from psycho maniac, to a gentlemen, to a psycho maniac and now he was a heartless man, and he was now regretting for NOT killing her.
Kiara grinded her teeth as she stared at the man, trying to analyze everything he’d said, and then he eyes shifted to Kamila.
She really didn’t want to go with her, she was more trouble than anything she’d ever seen before, and yet…Kiara didn’t want to go back on the street. She definitely didn’t want to regret not staying and figuring more out about these people.
With a loud sigh, Kiara turned back to the man. “I guess you’re right, I’ll be heading back to the street where hopefully your wish will come true.” She sighed again knowing that this time at night was more likely for that kind of stuff to happen.
“Just don’t stare at my corpse too long.” She frowned and started slowly walking for the door, trying to figure out where she’d go for the night if this man didn’t turn into “gentlemen” stage again.
“My name is Kiara by the way, just so you’re able to tell the police when they do find my body.” She sighed again, and walked out the door, heading for the elevator.

Kamila stared at Efrulion incredulously before saying, "Are you kidding me? They don't care about hitmen, they can get another one easy as pie. We're in the worst part of Chicago, hitmen are just waiting to be picked up." Leaving casually and not worrying about her safety, Kamila jumped into the elevator with Kiara before it closed, causing the poor girl to scream.
"Why are you here anyway? I don't get why you'd ever have to live here. You look like the perfectly bred, rich American girl." She said this with a hint disgust in her voice.
"You don't know anything about me! Just 'cause I'm not crazy like you--"
"Callate! You don't shit about me either! I'm not crazy, I'm trying to survive, that's what. Are you coming with me or not?"
"No! That crazy guy's gonna come kill you!"
"No, he's not. Trust me. You'll be safer there. I actually have an extra bed for you, clothes and food."
As Kiara contemplated her new friend's words, the elevator came to a halt and opened its gates to the real world again.

Elfurion stifled a quiet yawn. He returned to his apartment building settling down onto his recliner couch. Pity she didn't listen to him, he thought humbly to himself. She would have definitely saved her life tonight. He turned the light on with a quick double clap of his hands, letting the room fill with the florescent matter. He was not tired yet, however he was in a need for some more excitement still. Too bad his company would be missing out on his presence tomorrow, he would call in sick at the crack of dawn.
Lifting a walkie-talkie up to his mouth, he breathed into it with a growling voice, "They are on their way down the elevator. Spare the pretty one and bring her to me. As for Kamila- she's armed. She is to be killed or ran off. I want the other back to my room."
"Roger that," whispered a voice. "The number on the elevator says 2. They'll be down here soon."
"Good," breathed Elfurion. The armed one killed your brother, Narcissus. That's right, the one right up on the same floor as me, her hands made the kill."
The only sound he got in response to his jaunt was the sound of an automatic machine gun firing off a good clip of rounds in the middle of the night.

The elevator shook as it stopped at the final floor. It seemed like an eternity to Kiara for the elevator doors to open, and when they did, she’d only wished they’d close.
Five men stood around it, each holding a gun in hand staring at them. Kiara could feel Kamila grab her shoulders and push her down to the floor in time to hear the machine guns go off.
But they didn’t aim at her, only Kamila. As a man roughly grabbed Kiara by the arm, she saw Kamila fighting off others, and then disappear behind a secretary’s desk. But the man holding her only shoved her back into the elevator and pushed the number. The same floor the strange man lived on.
Good, she’d be able to scream and hopefully he’d come out, killing them and then she’d deal with him afterwards.
They reached the floor, and the doors opened and immediately Kiara started to scream as loud as she could, but the man hit her in the stomach which turned her scream into a grunt.

Once the elevator door opened, all Kamila saw was 5 men standing with raised guns. "Get back!" she screamed, slamming Kiara on the ground. Noticing that the men were aiming for her and not the poor, innocent girl next to her, she left Kiara and ran on her hands on knees behind a desk, took out her gun and stated to battle.
Wondering what happened to her friend, a view at the elevator answered the question. One of the men had left his shooting post, snatched Kiara's arm, pushed a button on the elevator, behind which they disappeared.
Once all the men were eliminated, Kamila ran from the building and after a while, slowed down, organizing her plan to perfection in her brain....
